It’s been kind of exciting around here the past couple of days because of the strong winter storm we’ve had. It’s not anywhere near what they’ve had in the northeast or other places, but a few inches of snow around here is pretty amazing. It took me more than an hour to get home last night, only a few miles. And it was scary! So. . . wasn’t sure if we would be able to get out this morning to go hang my first ever Zentangle show. But the county did a great job and was out on our road plowing and sanding, so we made it. It’s called the Placitas Artist Series and the artwork of 4 artists hangs for one month. The third Sunday there’s a concert and beforehand, the artists reception. I was able to pick out 22 pieces of my art and have them professionally framed, or I framed them, and this is what it looks like with the panorama view on my iPhone:
Of course the wall is not curved, the panorama view makes it looks fish-eyed. Cool effect tho. If you click on the picture you get a full screen view.
All of the art at the show is for sale with a percentage going to the Artist Series. A great cause. They bring wonderful local art and beautiful music to our rural area. My husband helped with the layout, naming the pieces and hanging them today! He’s a great roadie. My sister made my beautiful flyers, business cards and also helped with the layout. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive and talented family!
Thanks for checking in!
