The Diva’s last challenge for the year was last week, and I am just getting around to posting it:
only used veridgough on this one. colored with sakura stardust pens and colored pencils.
and. . . a heart tangle for my sweetheart:
starring: aquafleur, flux, ‘nzeppel, fescue. used black micron and a brown/sepia pen
Hope everyone has a great Christmas and wonderful 2014. . .
Thanks for all the wonderful comments, they really make my day!
I have a lot to show, but haven’t had a chance to post for a while. Last week I signed up for an online class from Beckah Krahula, author of One Zentangle a Day. It’s a two week class, with assignments and homework. I haven’t really had a chance to work on it, and wasn’t sure I wanted to. . . there are aspects that don’t seem very ‘zen’ to me, but wanted to expose myself to learning something new, and I really love Beckah, having met her and learned so much from her at the Viva Zentangle Retreat a couple of months ago. So, I finally made myself sit down and do a tile for the class:
tangles used: pokeroot, bales, mooka, printemps, knightsbridge, jonqual, verdigogh, festune and a zinger
what I’ve been enjoying doing are xmas cards. . . I took a lot of ideas from the Rainbow Elephant’s site and bought her e-books with designs and ideas. What fun this has been! 21 hand drawn cards! Here are some of them:
There are more but I won’t post them all here. The pictures don’t show very well but they are all sparkly! I had fun with all of my Sakura metallics and stardust pens as well as watercolor pencils. If I was very smart. . . which I’m not, I would scan them all in and print them out on photo paper and glue them to cards to make many more. But this seems like a fine way to give a small hand-made gift to my family and closest friends. Enjoy!
